During operation, machines carry structure-borne sound fields on the surface of their housings. These lead to the emission of airborne sound to the environment. At the same time, the structure-borne noise also reaches surrounding structures, such as foundations or parts of buildings, via the bearing points, causing secondary radiation of airborne noise.
