Betriebliches Informationssystem für Maschinen und Anlagen

Abstract:
Information on machines and systems is required in almost every area of a company. Nevertheless, machine data is either laboriously maintained by hand or stored in function-specific subsets in IT systems. In addition to redundancy, consistency and updating problems, this results in increased effort when evaluating the data, so that there is a lack of a sound basis for decision-making for planning and control tasks. For this reason, a software system for the central management of operational, machine-related data was developed as part of the machine information system project. To this end, various company functions were first analyzed with the aim of identifying the activities requiring machine data and recording the machine characteristics required to carry them out. Based on this, the general characteristics of machine data management were derived. Taking these characteristics into account, the information model on which the machine information system is based was specified and the IT prototype was programmed. In addition, characteristic lists and characteristic list modules for machine description were created on the basis of the analysis. The implemented machine information system provides functions for classifying machines, managing master data and list information as well as options for creating and maintaining feature lists for machine description. In addition to textual machine information, scanned machine graphics and graphics in DXF format can be managed. Beyond the management of characteristic machine features, links can be created between machines and other resources such as tools or test equipment, which can also be managed in the machine information system itself if required thanks to the system's inherent flexibility. The data stored in the system can be printed out as a form together with the graphical information. Integration into the company's IT system via the standardized SOL interface avoids redundancy, consistency and updating problems. Scope of the report:
