The term consortium agreement refers to an agreement in which two or more companies undertake to cooperate on a specific project and each of the members of the consortium assumes a certain share of the work (deliveries and services). This instrument of cooperation has no independent legal personality. It exists for a single project and is dissolved after its completion. This definition excludes all agreements that create a company with a separate legal personality, usually referred to as a joint venture.
