Analytical Strength Assessment of Components Made of Sintered Steels
1st Edition 2024
46 Seiten

Currently, the guideline applies exclusively to the P & S route, which pertains to sintered steels produced from relatively coarse powders and that currently consumes the largest amount of world-wide produced powder. These powders exhibit limited shrinkage and result in materials with a certain degree of porosity, compacted and sintered without the application of pressure or external field assistance. However, there is potential for this guideline to encompass additional processes in the future. Achieving this would require significant efforts, such as expanding the defined density range and accounting for variations in pore morphology (open and closed pores, tortuosity etc.).
