Since the 2002 reform of the law of obligations, German contract law and, as a result, the VDMA Terms and Conditions have changed fundamentally. The new edition explains the new BGB contract law and the correspondingly amended texts of the VDMA Terms and Conditions. In particular, it also takes into account the extensive new case law on the law on general terms and conditions. The general explanations on the drafting of domestic contracts are also intended to provide the reader with the tools for concluding contracts in line with their interests. The title of the work has been adapted accordingly in order to emphasize the extended range of topics beyond the mere explanation of the VDMA terms and conditions.
